I cover the North & East Dorset and South Somerset areas to provide a visiting/hourly care service.
This includes everything that I would do if I was living-in but provided during a visit.
Minimum of 1 hour per visit.
Again, UK Bank Holidays are charged at double agreed rate
Will depend on increased levels of supervision, assistance & personal hygiene care required
This will be discussed & agreed prior to the assignment and reviewed weekly.
When living in, I do not usually make any extra charge for the occasional night call. However, if it becomes apparent that this is a regular occurrence, additional fees will be discussed and implemented. It may be necessary to arrange for an additional carer to cover nights.
10 hours: 2200 - 0800
Basic sleeping rate ( ≤ 2 calls per shift) - £160
Basic Sleeping rate (=3 calls) - £185
Waking night rate ( >4 calls or stay awake) - from £200
I should be able to take off two consecutive hours every day. I will, of course, fit these in around the routines of the client. If it is not possible for the client to be left, arrangements will need to made to facilitate time off.
I do understand that it is occasionally necessary that time off is not possible. Time off in lieu or additional charges will be discussed and agreed.
In general, I expect a 'normal' working day to start around 0700/0800 and end not more than 14 hours later.
Travel will be charged at my basic hourly rate and at cost for standard train/coach fare and taxi transfers, or at the current basic Government advised rate of 45p/mile if using my own vehicle.
I do not usually start to travel to an assignment earlier than 0800hrs and aim to depart an assignment at a time designed to get me home by 2100hrs.
I will clear up any mess caused by me and/or the client on a day to day basis. For example, vacuuming crumbs and cleaning the bathroom after use.
Please, do not ask me to babysit. I am not a child minder!
Where the client does not have a car & I have travelled to the assignment in my own vehicle I am happy to use it to do the household shopping and go for the occasional outing. I am fully insured .
Travel will be charged at the current basic Government advised rate of 45p/mile if using my own vehicle.
I am more than happy to assist with household admin - bills etc - but am not comfortable being involved in discussions regarding finances.
Clients' personal finances are none of my business.
I hope you understand that this is for MY protection and does not arise out of any desire to be unhelpful.
Invoices will be prepared in Pounds Sterling and submitted electronically to the client, or their representative, for payment by Bank Transfer into a UK Bank Account.
It is usual for live-in carers to be paid before they leave an assignment.
Hourly assignments should be paid weekly (or as arranged) in arrears.
I do not accept cheques.
INVOICES WILL BE PREPARED AND SUPPLIED ELECTRONICALLY FOR IMMEDIATE PAYMENT BY BANK TRANSFER
Let me know about your questions or concerns. I will respond as soon as I am able.
