A highly competent Administrator and PA, I have over 18 years administrative experience – the last ten of which were at a senior level. This has ranged from routine office admin, HR and facilities functions to highly responsible team positions and senior PA roles.
However, family circumstances gave me pause to consider my situation and I found myself drawn strongly back into the care profession, particularly in regards to elderly, end of life and dementia care. I trained at the Royal United Hospital, Bath and qualified in 1987. My experience as a qualified nurse has, I believe, complemented my skills in all areas of my career, although my registration is no longer current.
I spent many years ‘following the flag’ with the RAF – including moving my family overseas. Having lived a highly mobile lifestyle, I retain a fully flexible approach to work and life in general. I have lived abroad as a child and with HM Forces and, more recently, worked as a personal nurse companion to a retired ambassador in Sweden. I am well traveled and adapt quickly and easily to different surroundings and circumstances.
... believe I am well regarded and gained the trust and respect of my colleagues and clients through my confident ability and outgoing nature.
... place high value on delivering outstanding customer service and have a positive attitude to troubleshooting and problem solving.
... believe absolutely in personal integrity and the principle of dealing honestly and fairly with customers, suppliers, colleagues and clients.

Hobbies
I love most animals - and shared my home with a few canine companions over the years . I've had my own horse and taken care of my daughters' abandoned rabbits, rats & guinea pigs when they went to Uni - but I absolutely draw the line at reptiles!
Cricket – any! Most years my birthday outing is to the T20 Blast finals with my family.
Sailing – Dinghies. I am RYA level 2 qualified and am the proud owner of an RS400 and an ancient Lightning 368, both of which I sail with more enthusiasm than skill. Every year we are able my 'live in' helm and I compete with RAF Sailing Association at Rutland Water in a Laser 2000.
Music – I play the violin (badly), guitar (very out of practice) and the cornet & trumpet (I used to play with the Horsham Band of the Royal British Legion!). My tastes range from Amadeus to The Zombies.
I love reading and, when I need to think, I walk.
Sewing – I try to take my sewing machine wherever I can but, when that is not possible, I will sew by hand!
Cooking – especially baking, although my bread does need some im-proving!!
A naturally empathetic caregiver, I have three children and three grandchildren
My official experience started when I cared for my Mother and since then I have supported a diverse range of people, helping them to feel comfortable at home
Over the last couple of years, during the Covid-19 pandemic, I have found this work to be particularly rewarding, in providing companionship to those who would otherwise be alone in such difficult times
I pride myself in being intuitive, diplomatic and respectful, which I have found to be essential traits in caring for others in their own home
My interests include reading, walking, yoga and exercise when time permits
Professional live-in care for select UK & International clients
